Weekend à Bordeaux

Saturday 6th May to Monday 8th May

Coming to France is one thing, but getting a true insight into its heritage is another! Join us for a weekend away to Bordeaux!

With our partner To Be Erasmus in Paris

Bordeaux, otherwise known as ‘La Perle d’Aquitaine’ is a town brimming in festivity. Situated close to the ocean, well known amongst surfers for its great waves, you can’t help but feel relaxed in this majestic environment. This weekend away will take you on various walks around the city, particularly the old town or Vieux Bordeaux. You will stroll through the notorious Place de la Bourse, le Pont de Pierre and the Quais de la Garonne allowing you to become totally immersed in the history and cultural heritage of Bordeaux.

After wandering the bustling city streets you will head to the famous Dune du Pyla which, boasting a height of 110 metres above sea level, is known as the highest dune in Europe. The summit of the dune allows for a panoramic view of the city. After having climbed to the top you can take a well-earned break sunbathing on the beach that surrounds it.
In the evening you will return to the city for a night out on what is known as ‘rue de la soif’. Literally translated as the road of thirst, this street is home to the best watering holes of the city.

The next day you will benefit from a visit to a ‘cave Bordelaise’ including a wine tasting. The region is known for producing the best wines in the world.
