Trip To Giverny: Sunday 2nd October

With our partner To Be Erasmus in Paris

Join us as we retrace the steps of Claude Monet to discover his gardens and house, along with the Old Mill of Vernon. The Mill is situated just a few miles from Giverny. A half-timber construction straddling two piers of the ancient bridge over the Seine River, it is the last of its kind built in the sixteenth century.

Claude Monet, the world-renowned painter fascinated by gardening and colour, crafted his flower and water garden like a true work of art, a source of inspiration for many of his paintings. Located in Giverny, his house is packed full of his memories, as well as his former workshop and his impressive collection of Japanese prints. The garden itself is made up of water features, oriental vegetation, weeping willows, water lilies and his green Japanese bridge.
