Day Trip to Giverny
With our partner To Be Erasmus in Paris
Just a short journey away from Paris awaits Monet’s Impressionist paradise, why not take a day trip?
You’ll leave from Paris in the morning to head to Giverny. It’s a little village in the Normandy region known for being where Monet worked and lived up until his death.
Programme Of Events:
On the agenda are: Monet’s house, gardens and Le Vieux Moulin de Vernon. First is the old watermill (moulin), which was built in the 16th century and is one of the last remaining bridges with a house on it. Making your way to the artist’s residence in Giverny, you can discover how Monet lived, his workrooms, and his collection of oriental artefacts. The crown jewel of this tour is certainly his gardens. The artist designed them himself and paid close attention to the balance of colours and other elements like water and light.
