Paris Courts Devant

This month, the international short film festival, Paris Courts Devant, invites you to attend screenings of its shortlisted works, as well as question and answer sessions with the directors and cast, where you will be able to discuss the making of each film.

Why not head over to this passing boutique of artisanal French products. As well as being able to browse through the unique pieces on offer, you will have the chance to discuss with the creators themselves, who will be on hand to answer questions.

 

Paysages Photographiques

Until 25 November, open from 2pm until 8pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Galerie Esther Woerdehoff, Paris 75015

In this free exhibition, photographers Xavier Dauny et Guillaume Martial display their pictorial exploration of the landscape of France. Their photographs, although rooted in reality, are adapted and enhanced by different shooting, printing and editing techniques, leaving images which hover between the world as we know it and the fantastic realm of creation.

Musée Du Louvre

The Musée du Louvre is one of the few Parisian museums that offer free entry on the first Sunday of each month. So if you fancy wandering through art and sculptures from Greek antiquity, or coming face to face with an Egyptian mummy, or fighting through the sea of selfie-sticks to gaze at la Jaconde (Mona Lisa), why not make the most of this good deal on Sunday 5th November?

Free Concert: Les Mardis Maazz D’la Chapelle

Tuesday 28 November at 7:30pm, La Chapelle des Lombards, 19 Rue de Lappe, Paris 75011

Head over to La Chapelle des Lombards to listen to the rising stars of the French music scene. Once a month, students from the performing arts schools Pôle Supérieur d’Enseignement Artistique de Paris and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris come to this bar to show off what they can do, treating their audience to a musical soirée of skilful experimentation and performance. And all this, for free!
