Rendez-vous Aux Jardins

More than 2,300 gardens across France will be open to the public during the 3-day ‘Rendez-vous aux jardins’ event. Historic, contemporary, exotic, urban and vegetable gardens can all be explored, as well as numerous allotments. Plenty of activities, such as exhibitions, lectures, and concerts, will also on offer, as well as the chance to meet both professional and amateur garden enthusiasts.

Nanterre Parade(s)

If you’re in Paris in early July, be sure to check out this festival of street art where around forty different individual artists and companies invite you to discover their creations. Theatre, dance, circus acts and much more can all found in various locations including squares, parks and in the streets of the old town around the Parisian suburb of Nanterre.

Bac SucrÉ

13-17 June
Paris

While the word ‘Bac’ might make you squirm in its reference to the French exams, this event puts a great spin on the concept! This is not your conventional ‘bac’ – this is a ‘bac sucré’ which takes place on Rue du Bac in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. There will be free tastings and workshops of all things sweet so be sure to head down for the tastiest exam of your life!

International Yoga Day

16 June
Paris

Celebrate International Yoga Day with a free yoga class in the 19ème arrondissement in Paris. Whether you are an advanced yoga guru or a complete beginner, join in this experience and practice yoga with many others. The day kicks off with some classical indian music at 9 am followed by Yoga Asanas at 9.30 followed by a Dhyana or guided meditation at 10.30 and finishes again with some music at 11. Relax and recharge! All participants also receive a free yoga mat!

Fête De La Musique 

21 June
Across France

Now in its 37th year, the fête de la musique is no ordinary festival. Taking place across France, music will take over the streets, with live bands, singers, amateur musicians, drummers, DJs and so on scattered throughout the towns and cities. In Paris, stages spring up all over the city, in particular on the capital’s major squares and in its parks. The biggest and best-known are generally in the Jardin des Tuileries, the Petit Palais, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Louvre, Jardin du Luxembourg, on Place Denfert Rochereau and along the banks of the Seine.
