Festival Rhizomes

On these few selected dates from 3 to 8pm, head down to the Canal de l’Ourq in the 18th arrondissement of Paris for some lively, open-air music! Genres range from jazz to afro-pop to flamenco sounds in this free multicultural celebration!

Voyage à Nantes

1 July – 26 August
Nantes

Taking place over the course of nearly two months, the ‘Voyage à Nantes’ offers visitors the chance to explore the city on an urban trail dotted with works of art. There will be an array of contemporary artworks scattered around thirty or so locations around Nantes that reflecting the world of travel and poetry. Most sites along the route are free so if you’re in the area, why not pop by?

Le Tour De France

7 – 29 July
Across France

2018 celebrates the 105th edition of the most famous cycling race in the world. The 3,329 km race will depart from Noirmoutier-en-l’Île and will finish along the Champs-Élysées in Paris, on 29 July. If you are in any of the surrounding towns, be sure to head out to the streets and cheer on your favourite riders for free! Keep an eye out for the reigning champion, Chris Froome!

Bastille Day

14 July
Across France

This national holiday is a celebration of the storming of the Bastille in 1789, which led to the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. Every year since 1880, Bastille Day is marked with festivities, including a military parade on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, fireworks will be set off from the Eiffel Tower and balls taking place at various fire stations in Paris.

Cinéma En Plein Air
