Château de la Loire

CIJP: CHÂTEAU DE LA LOIRE

Saturday 18th March to Sunday 19th March

After setting off from Paris you will head straight to Cheverny Castle for a guided tour. This is one of the most popular historical monuments in France. This Renaissance Château reflects beautifully off the waters that surround it, making it all the more delightful. Following this you will move to the Blois for a spot of lunch followed by a guided tour of the Blois Castle. Here you will get the chance to see the historical progression of architecture as each section of the castle is assigned to a different era, following the architectural demands of the times and each of its royal occupants. After this guided tour you will have time to explore the city of Blois. In the evening you can then enjoy a sociable dinner together and an overnight stay in the city of Blois.

On Sunday, after a lovely Loire breakfast, you will head to the Chenonceau Castles where you should make sure to explore its magical gardens. You will then head to Amboise for lunch and an exploration of the city of Amboise and its monuments, notably the Amboise castle and the Clos Lucé, Leonardo de Vinci’s house. After a weekend packed full of castle exploration you will arrive back into Paris at around 8:.30 pm.
