Voix des Femmes
To mark International Women’s Day on 8th March, writers, teachers and artists alike will discuss literary works written by women, focusing on ideas of hope, power and freedom. This event, to be held at the Bibliothèque Vaugirard at 7pm, will be led by Catherine Soullard, a writer and producer at France Culture, and Sandra Collet, lecturer at the Université Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée. Both of these inspirational women will offer a plethora of works ranging from philosophical to romantic, poetic to scientific.

Expo Femmes d’Ici et d’Ailleurs
Because one single day is not long enough, this exposition invites all women to share their physical sight and vision. Be it through a photograph, a sculpture, a picture, a painting, a text or any other medium, these collective viewpoints will articulate the plurality of female perspectives. This collaborative exhibition will be open to the public from 8th to 25th March at the centre d’animation in Reuilly.
Lieux de Mémoire de L’Est Parisien
As part of the biennial ‘Le Printemps de la Mémoire’ (Spring of Memory), come and discover an exhibition of photographs dedicated to five areas deeply rooted in the collective memory of eastern Paris: the Réunion district, the slaughterhouses of La Villette, the former city walls of Thiers, the Père-Lachaise cemetery and the Rue Vilin. This exhibition, taking place at the Médiathèque Marguerite Duras from 9th March to 2nd July, includes photographs dating from all decades of the twentieth century, revisiting certain areas to show their current and modern appearance.
